Zella Luetta “Mike” Baker, 88, Chanute, died Nov. 26, 2011 at the Chanute Health Care Center.

She was born on Nov. 10, 1923 in Benedict, the daughter of Charles and Zella Wiles.

She was united in marriage to James Perry Baker on June 4, 1940. He preceded her in death.

Mike is survived by her children, Nancy Bockover, Bill and Charlie Baker, all of Chanute, Bob Baker of Nebraska, and Mary Jolene Hutton, Topeka; brothers, Marvin, Charles, Alan Ray, Dale, Vernon, Dwayne and Pete; a sister, Dorothy Mintz; and numerous nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband James, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, James Ronald Baker, and a sister, Donna Jean.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Faith Bible Church. Inurnment will follow in the Earlton Cemetery.
