Harriet A. Ratcliff, 75, Humboldt, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 at the Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Harriet was born on March 20, 1933, the daughter of Norman and Beulah Jordon Raney.She was united in marriage to Oren Purdom on August 8, 1952. They divorced in May 1980. She was united in marriage to Daryl Ratcliff on June 22, 1984. He survives.
Harriet was well known for her many musical talents and her unwavering faith in God. She loved traveling, crocheting, quilting and playing her accordion with Tim and Tilly.
Along with her husband, Daryl, she is survived by a daughter, Cindy Dick and husband, Bruce; a son, Jerry Purdom; three stepsons, Greg Ratcliff and wife, Mirah, James Ratcliff and wife, Sherri, and Brian Ratcliff; a stepdaughter, Debbie Lovell and husband, Harry; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a sister, Glenda Davidson and husband, Darrol; and many, many friends.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17 at the First Baptist Church in Humboldt. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel.
Memorials in her name may be made to the First Baptist Church of Humboldt and may be left with the funeral home.
