Sibylla May Burress, 85, Frontenac, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Sunset Manor, Frontenac.

She was born Nov. 1, 1922, in Madison to Jack and Komis William Geisert. She was a graduate of Fredonia High School.

She was a homemaker and worked for eight years at Kansas Bank Note, Fredonia.

She married Raymond L. Burress. He died Sept. 25, 1976.

She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include a son, Larry J. Burress, Frontenac; a sister, Betty Geisert, Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Burress.

Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Timmons Funeral Home, Fredonia.
