Faye Reece Robertson, 69, Thayer, died at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012. The family will greet friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Thayer Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Pelley officiating.

Faye was born August 5, 1942 in Thayer, to Irving C. “Jack” and Della L. Baker Reece. Faye graduated Thayer High School in 1960, Chanute Community College in 1962, and Pittsburg State University in 1964. She taught school in Altoona and Neodesha for 23 years.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Joyce Reece.

Faye married James W. Robertson on Dec. 23, 1966 and he survives along with three sons and their spouses, Jamie Robertson and wife, Paula, Thayer, Brent Robertson and wife, Terri, Thayer, and Mark Robertson and wife, Mendy, Galesburg; 11 grandchildren; three sisters, Dolores Young, Tulsa, Okla., Betty Huffman, Altamont, Donna McMillen, Chanute; two brothers, Dale Reece, St. Charles, Mo., and Merle Reece, Overland Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Thayer Christian Church Preschool and may be left with Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel, 704 Indiana, Neodesha, KS 66757.
