Georgia Pauline Cameron, 87, Chanute, died Sunday, August 3, 2008 at the Chanute Healthcare Center.

Pauline was born in Chanute on May 18, 1921, the daughter of Charles Edward and Georgia Ruth Ward. She attended public schools in Chanute, graduating from Chanute High School and attending Neosho County Community College.

Pauline was united in marriage to Ralph Samuel Cameron on Sept. 4, 1943 in Chanute. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1997.

She was a homemaker.

Pauline is survived by three sons, Raymond Cameron and his wife, Joy, of Chicago, Ill., Ronnie Cameron and his wife, Phyllis, of Chanute, and Richard Cameron and his wife, Lisa, of Orlando, Fla; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Cameron Sr.; a son, Ralph Cameron Jr., and three brothers, Charles Ward, Paul Ward and Alvin “Stoney” Ward.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 7 at the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Chanute. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 until 8 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Otterbein United Methodist Church and may be left with the funeral home.
