Arthur Monroe Hubble, Chanute, died Saturday, August 2, 2008.
He was born Sept. 9, 1930, in Harrisonville, Mo., graduating from Harrisonville High School.
He joined the U.S. Army Signal Corp and fought in Korea.  After the Army, he was an industrial engineer at Boeing for 10 years, then moved to Chanute in 1964.
In Chanute he was plant manager at Cobalt and Triad, then started Hubble Enterprises where he specialized in home remodeling.
He was an accomplished bridge player, voracious reader and enjoyed entertaining friends.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Hubble; and two sons, Scott Hubble, East Lynn, Mo., and Roger Hubble, Wichita. 
A graveside service with military honors will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Neosho County Memorial Park, West 21st Street in Chanute. Arrangements are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.
