Robert C. Smith, 84, Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Emporia and Kansas City, died Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Paradise Valley Hospital, Phoenix.
He was born Dec. 18, 1923 at Chanute, the son of Ray and Mida Comer Smith. He married Virginia Vierth at Chanute on Aprl 11, 1948. She died in Emporia on June 1, 2005.
He had been a resident of Arizona for three years.
He was a salesman for Adams Business Forms in Kansas City for 30 years.
Survivors are a son, David T. Smith, Queen Creek, Ariz.; daughter Linda Hoffman, Petaluma, Calif.; brother Perry Smith, Longview, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7 in the chapel of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia.
Burial will be in Est Hill Cemetery, Erie.
