Helen I. Moore, 76, St. Paul, formerly of Chanute, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at Prairie Mission Retirement Village.

She was born Oct. 3, 1935, in Pueblo, Colo., to John and Nell Millburn Moore. As a young girl she grew up and attended school in Oregon.

Through the years she worked as an interior decorator/artist. In 2001, she moved to Kansas to be near family.

Survivors include a son, Kent Witzel, Battleground, Wash.; a daughter, Leah Nosack, Salem, Ore.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Kathryn Moore, Salem, Ore.

She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Devon McNabb.

Private burial will be in Hope Cemetery near St. Paul under the direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
