Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 27, 1 p.m. at the Paintsville First Church of God, Paintsville, Ky., for Kenneth Edwin Powers, 61, East Point, who died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at his residence.
Powers was born Sept. 7, 1950 in Thayer, son of the late Rabern and Marie Fern Umbarger Powers. He was a federal reclamation inspector.
Surviving are his wife, Mistcha “Misty” Wells Powers, East Point; one daughter, Misty Green and husband, Christopher, Paducah. Ky.; four brothers, Glen Powers and wife, Kay, and Milton Powers and wife, Jo, all of Afton, Okla., James Powers and wife, Rachel, Chanute, and Steven Powers and wife, Patty, Thayer; one sister, Judy Froehlich and husband, Conrad, Chanute; and one grandson, Conrad B. Green.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. and Friday at 9 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home.
The service will be officiated by the Rev. Dan Heaberlin, with burial to follow in the Lakeview Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.
