Charles H. “Chuck” Malcor, 83, Savonburg, passed away peacefully with his daughters, Colleen Smith and Victoria Johnson by his side on Monday, Feb, 13, 2012, at the Robert J. Dole V.A. Medical Center, Wichita.
He was born on Sept. 10, 1928, in Carlinville, Ill., the son of Charles L. and Margaret Alexander Malcor. Charles married Virginia Wolfe on Oct. 24, 1964 in Elsmore. She preceded him in death in April 23, 2003.
Charles lived much of his life in Savonburg with his wife and daughters. He served in World War II and was always a proud veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret, his wife Virginia Malcor, one sister, Sally, and one brother, Pat.
Charles is survived by his daughters, Colleen Smith (Ed Newman), Valley Center, Victoria Johnson (Jeff), Dodge City; one granddaughter, Sierra Smith, Chanute; three grandsons, Rylan Johnson, Keller Johnson and Logan Johnson; his twin sister, Charlotte Lynch, Mayfield Heights, Ohio.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Moran, with burial to follow in the Elsmore Cemetery. The family will be present to greet friends at the Moran funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening.
