Kenneth Edward Lance, 81, Fredonia, formerly of Neodesha, and Dickinson, Texas, died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Fredonia. He was born July 13, 1930 in Buffalo, the son of Oscar and Pearl Cole Lance. Kenneth was a 1950 graduate of Neodesha High School. He served in the United States Marines during the Korean War. 
Kenneth was a refinery operator for Standard Oil and Amoco, working in both Neodesha and later in Dickison, retiring in 1975.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Neodesha.
Survivors include three brothers, Ted Lance, Frankfort, Ky., Jack Lance, Derby, Leslie Lance, Woodland, Calif.; two sisters, Barbara Gorton, Fredonia, Florence Guiou, Fredonia.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 16 at the Maple Grove Cemetery near Roper. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at Timmons Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in Kenneth’s name with St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and contributions can be sent to Timmons Funeral Home, PO Box 168, Fredonia, KS, 66736.
