Wayne Dee Miller, 79, formerly of the Benedict and Coyville area, died Friday, March 9, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Fredonia.¬†He and his twin brother, Dwayne, were born Dece. 16, 1932, in Coyville, to George Kenneth “Kack” and Virgie May Cain Miller. Wayne was a graduate of Benedict High School and then served four years, 1952-1956, in the United States Air Force, stationed mainly in Japan.¬†
On May 3, 1986, Wayne was united in marriage to Jean Bierman. She preceded him in death.
Wayne worked as an airplane mechanic for United Airlines, retiring after 30 years of employment.
Wayne’s survivors include two brothers, Bob Miller, Claremore, Okla., Earl Miller, Benedict; one sister, ¬†¬†¬†¬†Arline Miller Guenther, Benedict.
Wayne requested cremation and a graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14 at the Coyville Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Wayne’s name with AseraCare Hospice and contributions can be sent to Timmons Funeral Home, PO Box 168, Fredonia, KS, 66736.
