Christy Ann Jones, 58, Chanute, died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Chanute Health Care Center.

Christy was born on May 29, 1953 in Chanute, the daughter of Millard “Bud” and Lucille Shepard Morgan. She attended Chanute schools and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pittsburg State University in 1975.

She was united in marriage to Charles “Charley” Jones on May 24, 1974 in Chanute. He survives, of the home.

Christy worked as a data entry clerk for Kustom Signals in Chanute for 28 years.

She enjoyed riding on the Harley with her husband, reading and taking care of kids. She loved her dog, Simba, who preceded her in death.

Along with her husband, Charley, she is survived by three daughters, Melissa T. Jones, Brandy Jones, and Sandy Jones, all of Chanute; grandchildren, Slayter Wasson, Jaden Wasson, Gage Jones, Jessica Bracken, Liberty Jones and Chrys Cotton, all of Chanute, and Aryn Cotton of Tupac, Ariz.; and two brothers, Mike Morgan of Chanute and Charley Morgan of Loveland, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 30 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Chanute.
