Clarence M. Calvin, 71, Haysville, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009.

He was born Feb. 8, 1937, in New Bethlehem, Pa., to Clarence and Genevieve Bargerstock Calvin.

He married Lana Pillot on May 13, 1967, in Wichita. She survives.

He was a retired law enforcement officer.

Other survivors include a son, Bill Hastings, Beaver Falls, Pa.; two daughters, Missy Elliott, Wichita, and Cindy DeLuca, Mesa Ariz.; four brothers, John and Dwite Calvin, both of East Rochester, Pa., Richard Young, East Liver Pool, Ohio, and Ralph Young, Tionesta, Pa.; two sisters, Sarah Lonkert, Freedom, Pa., and Mary Ann Caile, East Rochester, Pa.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Lou Calvin.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Chanute, under the direction of Wulf-Ast Mortuary, Garden Plain.

A rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
