Mera Dale Jenkins, 50, Chanute, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at her home.

Mera was born in Anchorage, Alaska, on May 31, 1961, the daughter of Carlos and Toni Ivey Hernandez.

She was a homemaker.

Mera is survived by a daughter, Mary Jenkins of Chanute; two sons, Joey Jenkins of Chanute and Beau Griffin of Texas; six grandchildren; three brothers and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, April 17 at the Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel in Chanute. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Memorials in her name may be made to the family and may be left with the funeral home.
