Esther Irene Lansky, 91, Iola, formerly of Humboldt, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Allen County Hospital in Iola.

Esther was born in Ravena, Ohio on Feb. 14, 1921, the daughter of Louis and Nancy Chaplin Fisher. She attended schools in Ohio.

She was united in marriage to Jack Lansky. He preceded her in death in 1996.

Esther worked as a machinist for Morris Control.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith Branstetter, Humboldt; two sons, Jimmy Hoover and Charles Hoover, both of Ohio; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Galemore Cemetery, rural Humboldt.

Memorials in her name may be made to the family and may be left with the funeral home.
