Bertha S. Renfrow, 87, Chanute, died Monday, August 18, 2008, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 30, 1921, in Enid, Okla., to John R. and Nettie Jane Murray Stricklin.

She married Robert R. Renfrow Jr. on Nov. 29, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He died in 2007.

She was a member of the Methodist Church in Clinton, Okla.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Buffalo, Wyo. Arrangements are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Laura “Jane” and Carl Richardson, Chanute; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Rex III and Susie Renfrow, Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren, Michelle Thieman, Kirsten Renfrow, Chris Neiman, Nicole Carlson and Carey Eisenberg; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Naomi George and Nita Manney; and a granddaughter, Christina Kress.
