William S. Morrill II, 69, Chanute, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008.

He was born Aug. 9, 1939, in Fairbanks, Alaska, to William S. I and Letha Gertrude Lowans Morrill.

He married Marcia Schuck on Aug. 7, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives.

He was employed as assistant manager at a storage facility in Las Vegas, Nev.

Other survivors include a daughter, Catherine Turner; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Morrill; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, William S. Morrill I; his mother, Letha G. Morrill-Blakeney; and his step-father, Glenn C. Blakeney.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.
