Ronald Eugene Horn, 67, Chanute, died unexpectedly, Friday, January 30, 2009, in Goodland.
He was born Sept. 26, 1941, in Iola to Cecil L. and Audrey Baker Horn. He attended Iola High School.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He married Shirley Cook on May 26, 1977, in Chanute. She survives.
He worked for Custom Campers, Inc.
Other survivors include his children, Chuck Cohee, Terri Jo Conger, Cindy Gard, Carla Frazier, Gina Richwine, Jerry Horn and Nicholas Horn; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Edwards, Leroy, and Betty Busby, Rollow; and a brother, Lawrence Horn, Dewey, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Helen Miller, Hewitt, Texas; and a brother, Richard Horn, Colony.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Chanute. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Highland Cemetery, Iola.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel in Chanute.
Contributions may be made to Angel Food Ministries, Cherry Street Youth Center or a charity of the donor’s choice and may be left with the funeral home.
