E. Louise Fulps Vaughn, 83, Burbank, Calif., formerly of Chanute, died unexpectedly Monday, June 4, 2012 at her home. She was born Dec. 9, 1928 in Adrian, Mo., the daughter of Floyd Branson and Essie Stone Fulps. She attended Chanute schools.

On May 19, 1945 she married James F. Vaughn, Jr. They lived in Chanute where she worked in the meat department at Donaldson IGA and I.L.C. They moved from Wichita to California in 1965.

Her husband preceded her in death Jan. 5, 1997.

Survivors include three sons, Randy Vaughn, Tucson, Ariz., Ron Vaughn, Windsor, Conn., Joe Vaughn, Burbank, Calif.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Fulps Solomon, Chanute, and Ruby Fulps Carter, Pittsburg.

The body was cremated. A memorial service will be held today in Burbank.
