Martha Louise Thielenhaus Fritch, 96, a resident of Arrowood Lane Care Facility in Humboldt, died Sunday, February 15, 2009.

She was born Sept. 26, 1912, in Bison to John William and Frieda Martha Hildebrand Thielenhaus.

She graduated from Bison High School in 1933 and taught in rural schools before marrying Elton Franklin Fritch on May 14, 1938. He preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1981, in La Crosse.

She attended Bison Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Elton Franklin Fritch, Chanute; a daughter, Linda Ann Fritch von der Heyde, Clermont, Fla.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Clara Thielenhaus Schulz, Plainville.

She was preceded in death by five siblings, William, Fred, Elmer, Martha and Carl.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. today. Burial will follow at Bison Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse.
