Frank L. Ball, 80, Iola, died Monday, February 16, 2009, at Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha.
He was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Neodesha to George and Nellie Johnson Ball. He grew up at Neodesha where he had owned and operated Frank’s Food Land. He was employed as owner and president of F&S Supply Co. in Iola.
He attended Parkview Holiness Church in Chanute and was a member of Armourdale Bible Holiness Church in Kansas City, Kan.
Survivors include four children, Rick Ball, Pensacola, Fla., Randy Ball, Iola, Linda Berry, St. Louis, Mo., and Ryan Ball, Conneaut, Ohio; two stepchildren, John Shores, Iola, and Debbie Logan, Gas; a sister, Neama Douglas, Iola; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie; a grandson, Justin Ball; and two brothers, Ernie and Jack Ball.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery in Iola. Arrangements are under the direction of Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel, Iola.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Contributions to Independence Bible School may be left with the funeral home.
