James (Jim) “Jimmy D” Steven Dahlgren died July 16, 2012 in Paso Robles, Calif. Jim had fought a good fight against various illnesses for many years. He was born in Chanute on March 31, 1953. He was 59 years of age.

Jim is survived by his wife of 25 years, Pamela Cohn Dahlgren; his daughter Zarah Dahlgren Wirt and a granddaughter Anika; his father, Larry Dahlgren, Dallas; his mother, Doris Willis Dahlgren, Chanute; sisters Juli Poitras, Carmel Valley, Calif., JoAnne Edwards, Chanute, Pamela Dahlgren, Chanute; and brother Jeff Dahlgren, Chanute.

As a child Jim loved fishing and going to the oil wells with his Grandpa Sam, but his lifelong love was golf. He attended grade school and Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas. As an adult Jim lived in Carmel and San Jose. Calif., finally settling in Paso Robles with his wife.

Jim excelled in chess, backgammon and was an avid golfer, and when health permitted a golf instructor. He was a Bible scholar, a man of great faith and wrote a book uniting history and Bible prophecy. He was and will always be remembered, loved and missed by many. See you in Tomorrow’s World, Jim.
