Roscoe W. Rash, 83, Toronto, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, after a fatal car accident.
Roscoe was born in Carson, Iowa on Sept. 25, 1928. At the age of 17 he served in the U.S. Army in Germany for post-WWII clean-up. In 1973, he gave his heart to God and was active in his church and community ever since. He was always willing to do a kind deed to help a friend out.
Roscoe is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rosa E. Rash; five children; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Tommy Smith, his mother Doris Purcell Rash and his father, George Rash.
Services for Roscoe will be Thursday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. at the Cowboy Church and Arena of Life located at 781 KS HWY 105 Toronto. The family suggests donations to the Roscoe W. Rash Memorial Fund; these may be sent in care of Campbell Funeral Home P.O. Box 188 Yates Center, KS 66783.
