Roy Stricklin, 63, of Chanute died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at Neosho Memorial Regional Center in Chanute.

Roy was born in Oniona, Ala., on May 8, 1949, the son of Walter and Jessie Stricklin.

Roy is survived by his wife, Linda Stricklin; one son, Roy Stricklin of Franklin, Tenn.; three daughters, May Padgett of Fargo, Ga., Jeanett McCulley of Chanute, and Tyeisa Rogers of Chanute; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and siblings; Barbara Collins of Ontiona, Ark., Doris of Ozark, Ark., Linda Benton of Charleston, Ark., Tilman Stricklin of Jopppa, Ala., Harold Stricklin of Gladewood, Texas, Curtis Stricklin of Henher, Ala., Jerry Stricklin of Joppa, Ala., and Norman Stricklin of Henher, Ala.

He was preceded in death by parents.

Cremation has taken place.

A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.

Memorials in his name may be made to the family and left with the funeral home.
