Clarence L. Bishop, 71, Yates Center, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Coffey County Hospital, Burlington.
He was born Jan. 16, 1938, in Rose to William “Bill” and Ada Audiss Bishop.
He farmed and drove a truck for Lusco Brick, Co., hauling brick from Buffalo and Fredonia Brickyards.
He enjoyed hunting deer and pheasant and taking his grandchildren fishing.
On June 25, 1958, he married Barbara McGuire. They later divorced. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Clarence Eugene Bishop, Yates Center; two daughters, Debbie Morrison and Pam Stapleford, both of Yates Center; two sisters, JoAnn Decker and Nancy Costin, both of Buffalo; seven grandchildren, Nik Morrison, Clayton Smith, Kayla Stapleford, Zack, Chris, Willie and Kassy Bishop; a great-grandchild, Raestin Smith; four nephews; a niece; and his caregiver, Aileen Blackwell.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Campbell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
