Funeral services and Christian Burial for Betty Marijean Dewey-Postlewait-Morrison, 79, a resident of Tulsa, Okla., will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at The Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, 1701 N. Hickory Place, Broken Arrow, Okla. Burial will be at Floral Haven Cemetery, 6500 South 129th East Avenue, Broken Arrow, Okla. A reception for family and friends will be held after the burial at The Church of Jesus Christ LDS.

Betty died Saturday, Oct. 27 at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa after many years of declining health.

She was born on March 27, 1933 in Gridley, the daughter of Emery and Margaret Dewey. She was united in marriage to Glen C. Postlewait on Feb. 15, 1952 in Chanute. Glen preceded her in death Oct. 4, 1979. She united in marriage to Jess Morrison on Nov. 28, 1987 and they made their home in Nowata, Okla. Jess preceded her in death several years later.

She was a published poet.

She is survived by her children, Robert Glen Postlewait of Broken Arrow, Okla., Jeanie May Moon of Tulsa, Okla., four grandchildren; two brothers, Tom Dewey of Wichita, Wes Dewey of Chanute. She was preceded in death by a her stepdaughter, Becky Postlewait-Ferguson.
