Colleene Ann Cox, 84 Fredonia, died Monday, March 16, 2009 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born Jan. 6, 1925 in Newton, the daughter of Arthur and Bulah Murray Gasper. She was a homemaker.

On July 28, 1942 in Champaign, Ill., she married Lawrence G. Cox He survives at their home.

Colleene was a member of the First Christian Church in Fredonia.

Also surviving are a son, Lawrence H. “Butch” Cox of Fredonia; a sister, Erin Marcus of Lincoln, Neb.; three grandchildren; :three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death a son, Joe Cox.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 19, at the Fredonia City Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Colleene’s name with the American Diabetes Association and donations may be sent to the funeral home. Family condolences may be left at www.timmonsfuneralhome.com.
