Leo Hurley, 75, Parsons, died, Sunday, March 15, 2009 in Parsons.

He was born March 11, 1934 in Ellsinore, Mo., to John C. and Hattie Johnson Hurley. He completed eighth grade at the Lower Ten Mile School in rural Ellsinore.

After moving to Parsons in his late teen years he worked as a self-employed painter and roofer.

On Sept. 29, 1951 he and Agnes A. Holding, of St. Paul, were married in Huntsville, Ark.

He was a member of St .Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Tony R. Hurley, Mound Valley, Terry L. Hurley, Parsons, Tim G. Hurley, Parsons; two daughters, Cathy L. Trollope, Parsons, Rita K. Collins, Coffeyville; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Daisy Woods, Chanute.

Rosary will be 6:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends following the rosary until 8 p.m.

The graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19, at Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons.

Memorials are suggested to either the St. Vincent DePaul Society or the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. They may be left at or sent to the funeral home at Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
