Wilma Marlene Morehead, 66, Chanute, died Thursday, August 28, 2008, at her home.

She was born May 10, 1942, in Humboldt to Levi and Wilma Wylie Clay. She attended Humboldt public schools.

She married Tommy Joe Morehead on May 10, 1959, in Humboldt. He survives.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing and camping and her grandchildren called her “Campin’ Nan.”

Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Sondra Morehead, Cherryvale; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Austin McCormick, Savonburg; five grandchildren, Mindy Jones, Angela McCormick, Mike Hempen, Cindy Morehead and Thomas Morehead; two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Darci Jones; two brothers, Darrell Levi Clay, Chesapeake, Mo., and Gerald Dean Clay, Neosho Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Linda Marlene Morehead.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute, under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel.

Visitation will be from10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.

Contributions to the American Cancer Society and may be left with the funeral home.
