Naomi Lee Hickey Bideau, 83, Buffalo, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008 at her home.
She was born Nov. 24, 1924 in Buffalo to W.H. and Byrd Mae Weiss Pool.
She grew up in Buffalo and graduated from high school there. She then attended Neosho County Community College in Chanute.
She taught school for a few years at Petrolia and Pleasant Valley. She then owned and operated the Buffalo Grocery Store for 40 years.
She attended Buffalo Community Church and was active in many community affairs until her health failed in her later years.
She married Aubrey Eugene Hickey in January of 1948. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1986.
She later married Ed Bideau. He survives.
Also surviving are a son, Bill Hickey and wife, Lynn, Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas; and a granddaughter, Laurel Hickey.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5 at Buffalo United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Buffalo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Campbell Funeral Home, Yates Center, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
