Jacky Pat “Jack” Rankin, 70, Olathe, died Sunday, August 31, 2008.

He was born July 18, 1938, to TC “Pat” and Susan Geib Rankin in Perry, Okla. In 1984 he retired from the Boilermakers Local 83.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa Mae “Rosie” Rankin; 10 children, Monty and Denise Zimmerman, Steve Edwards, Denise Freilinger, Dana Belknap, Jackie Sebbo, Tim Rankin, Kim Negrete, Joy Engleman and Chad Burke; two brothers, Phillip and Dewon “Butch” Rankin; two sisters, Velma Hupman and Sue Ann Dotson; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Theodore “Ted” Rankin.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula, Olathe, with burial following in Chanute Memorial Park, Chanute.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
