Johnie Dighero, 65, of Chanute made his final move to heaven to join his family on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at Chanute HealthCare

Johnie was born in Fort Scott on Sept. 30, 1947 the son of Dean and Dorothy Niemeir Dighero.

He loved people and if anyone ever needed anything, especially moving or antiques, he was there for them. Johnie enjoyed going to auctions and his thought on life was, “Your junk is my treasure!” He also enjoyed fishing and reading.

Johnie is survived by his wife, Lora Dighero, of Chanute; his daughter Deana Dighero and two grandchildren, Conner and Kara all of Chanute; two stepchildren, Jonathon and Tracy; and one brother, Charlie Dighero and wife, Patty, of Chanute.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Ruth Dighero.

The family will receive friends on this eveninig, Jan. 22, from 6 until 7 p.m. at The First United Methodist Church in Chanute.

A private family burial will be held in Missouri at a later time.

Memorials in his name may be made to The American Diabetes Association and may be left with the funeral home.
