Margaret Kerr, 66, died Monday, Feb 18, 2013 at Grand Lake Villa in Grove, Okla.

Margaret was born on Dec 8, 1946 in Chanute, to Elmer F. Carder and Elsie MeHarry Hufford. On March 23, 1966 she married Berkley Kerr in Iola.

She was a member of the Professional Pet Breeders and NRA. She enjoyed hair dressing, gardening, bird watching, and animal husbandry.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Berkley Kerr of Wyandotte, Okla.; one son, Bret Kerr and wife, Brenda, of Rogers, Minn.; three grandchildren, Brianna, Braxton, and Bryant Kerr of Rogers, Minn.; four sisters, Helen Hartwig of Humboldt, Evelyn Lightwine of Chanute, Carolyn Augusto of Independence, and Mary Ann Hufford of Fredonia; and two brothers, Herbert Carder of Silver Lake, and Lewis Hufford. Jr., of Fredonia.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebcca Kerr, her parents, and two sisters, Vivian Darity and Dorothy Carder.

The family will receive friends today from 10 to 11:30 a.m/ at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.

Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Burial will follow in the Silver Lake Cemetery in Silver Lake.

Memorials in her name may be made to The American Cancer Society and left with the funeral home.
