Armond Thearl Gray, 78, of Buffalo, died Saturday, Feb 23, 2013 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center, Chanute.

He was born on May 20, 1934 in Capron, Okla., to Elmer Earl and Mamie Mitchell Gray. On July 8, 1955 he married Marsha Munday in Fort Scott.

Armond was self employed in sales with Sachs-Dolmar and Tilton Equipment Company for several years. He was a horse enthusiast and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Later in life he liked working in the garden. He especially loved spending time and attending his great-grandchildren’s sporting events.

Armond is survived by his wife, Marsha Gray of Buffalo; one daughter, Yolonda Gray-Furman and husband, Bruce, of Fort Scott; two sons, Brian Gray and wife, Linda, of Greenfield, Mo., and Stewart Gray and wife, Camille, of Chanute; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Eula Eggers of Humboldt, Etha Benson of Alva, Okla., Paula Hessler of Los Lunas, N.M., and Leora Holland of Oklahoma City, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and three brothers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 9 at the Buffalo United Methodist Church.

Memorials in his name may be made to the family and may be left with the funeral home.
