Patsy Ruth Sigg McGowan, 78, of Iola, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Iola Nursing Center.

Patsy was born Sept. 11, 1934, in Iola, the daughter of James Frederick and Bertha Madlyn Dunton Weeks. She graduated from Iola High School.

On May 30, 1955, Patsy married Don Sigg and they made their home in Iola. They later divorced. In 1992 she married James McGowan and he preceded her in death in 2010.

Survivors include four children, Janice Carroll of Pratt, Donnie Sigg of Kansas City, Kan., Dennis Sigg of Eunice, N.M., and Scottie Sigg of Salina; a brother, James Weeks of Humboldt; three sisters. Peggy Carnahan of Gas, Laura Turner of Chanute, and Jean Byrum of Sheldon, Mo.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Rosary is 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Iola.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Iola.

Burial in Highland Cemetery, Iola.
