Ina J. James, 89, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008 at the Fredonia Regional Hospital.

She was born on May 26, 1919 near Cheney,the daughter of Lemuel Crawford and Bessie Marie Parsons Bay.

Ina was united in marriage to Ray Randall James on April 12, 1941 in Wichita. He preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1990.

She had worked several places as a waitress.

Survivors include a son, Larry James and wife, Mary, Chanute; daughter Vicki Stuhlsatz and husband, Larry, Garden Plain; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister Doris Hobbs, brother Melvin Bay, and one granddaughter Lindsey James.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel, Chanute. Visitation will be tonight from 7-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel. Burial will be in the Earlton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the First Christian Church Food Pantry and may be sent to the funeral home.
