Kenneth L. Heiman, 64, of Scranton, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Stormont Vail Health Center. Kenneth was born on Jan. 7, 1949 in Iola, to Mary Kipp and Frank Heiman. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bill Heiman, and sister, Marie Sinclair.
He graduated from Humboldt High in 1967. He worked from 1967-1971 as a journeyman carpenter. He also worked for Williams Brothers Pipeline/Magellan Midstream Pipeline from 1971-2004 when he retired.
He was united in marriage to Bethenia Lee Dickey on Sept. 25, 1971.
He was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish in Scranton.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bethenia Heiman of Scranton; two sons, Francis Heiman and wife, Krystal, of Scranton and Jonathan Heiman and wife, Kelly, of Carbondale; four grandchildren, Samuel, Eli, Riley, and Quentin; two sisters, Sylvia York of Humboldt and Betty Heppler of Wichita; three brothers, Robert Heiman of Humboldt, Daniel Heiman of Moran, and Charles Heiman of Piqua, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 7 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Scranton. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
