D. Maxine Linde, 77, Yates Center, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009.

She was born Aug. 26, 1931, in Fort Scott to George and Edith Edgar Thompson. She graduated from Yates Center High School in 1949.

She was a member of the Calvary Episcopal Church.

She married William Walker “Bill” Linde on Feb. 8, 1951, in Yates Center. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Mike Linde, Yates Center; two sons, Susan Loman and Debbie Purce, both of Yates Center; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bob Thompson, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Nutter.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Episcopal Church, Yates Center.

The family will gather with friends after the inurnment at Calvary Episcopal Church, Yates Center, under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home, Yates Center.
