Cheryl Kustanborter Rowden, 45, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at Wells House Hospice, Long Beach, Calif.

She was born Sept. 6, 1962, in Chanute to David and Vergie Petty Kustanborter of Bullhead City, Ariz. She graduated from Mohave High School in Bullhead City in 1980. She moved to California in June 1981 and was employed as a customer administrative coordinator at Office Max in Garden Grove, Calif., for 13 years prior to her illness.

Survivors include her husband, Scott Rowden, Bellflower, Calif.; two sons, Scott and Brandon Rowden, both of Bellflower, Calif.; three sisters, Terri Stacy and Linda Betts, both of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Brenda Andrews, Kingman, Ariz.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Chet and Mary Kustanborter and Virgil and Bertie Petty; and aunts Kathy Kustanborter and Jeraldine Petty; and an uncle, Dwaine Whitworth.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Chanute at a later date.
