Jeanetta Elizabeth “Dub” Shue, 86, a lifelong resident of Fredonia, died Monday, March 11, 2013 at her home in Fredonia. She was born Sept. 17, 1926 in Fredonia, to Howard and Cora Smith Cunningham. Dub was a 1944 graduate of Fredonia High School and attended Huntington College in Indiana.

On March 7, 1948 in Neodesha, she was united in marriage to Dr. Charles E. Shue, Jr. He preceded her in death Sept. 24, 1998.

Dub worked as a telephone operator, at Kansas Bank Note Company, and was the receptionist for her husband’s chiropractic practice in Fredonia.

Dub attended the Cornerstone Christian Church in Fredonia.

Her survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Everhart of Olathe; a brother, Wendell F. Cunningham of Wichita; a sister, Billie Johnson of Fredonia; a granddaughter; a stepgrandson; three great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at Timmons Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fredonia City Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled from 4-6 p.m. today at Timmons Funeral Home.
