Trena Lee Ulery, 33, died Wednesday April 8, 2009, at her home in Chanute. She was born Dec. 22, 1975 in Chanute. the daughter of Charles and Marilyn Reed Ulery. She grew up in Iola and graduated from Iola High School in 1994 and then moved to Chanute in 1995. She worked at Country Mart, Tramec, Haldex, and Nu Wa before operating her own day care “Trena’s Day Care” in Chanute for 10 years. Her last employment was with Gates Rubber Company before ill health forced her retirement.

Survivor include a son, Trevor Lee Hawley, of the home; her parents, Charles and Marilyn Ulery, Gas City; a sister, Tammy Lynn Ulery, Gas City; grandmother, Dorothy Reed, Gas City; nephew Dalton Ulery and niece Kaitlyn Larson.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel in Iola with burial to follow in the Gas City Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Trevor Lee Hawley Education Fund.
