Michael W. Fox, 58, life-long Walnut area resident, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Mt. Carmel Medical, Pittsburg.
He was born Aug. 6, 1950, at Walnut to Lawrence Alphonsus and Mary Juanita Westhoff Fox. He attended school at St. Patrick’s in Walnut. He graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree.
He owned and operated Reclamation Associates of Walnut for many years. He also farmed and was a cattle rancher.
He was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church and was a former member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at Walnut.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Fox, Walnut; two daughters, Tiffany Siebert, Farlington, and Tessa McConnell, Pittsburg; three brothers, Frank Fox, St. Paul, Pat Fox, Walnut, and John Fox, Girard; six sisters, Loretta Parkison, Frontenac, Barbara Vitt, Tulsa, Okla., Mary Lou Murray, Pittsburg, Frances Eaton, Seneca, Sharon Wineinger, Pensacola, Fla., Linda Purdon, Bentonville, Ark., LaDonna Fox, Bella Vista, Ark., and Charlene “Tina” Backhus, Sarasota, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. today at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at Walnut. Burial will be in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
