Cecelia Studebaker, 88, Fredonia, died Wednesday, September 234, 2008, at Villa St. Francis, Olathe.
She was born Sept. 11, 1920, in Fall River to Alfred Stephen and Julia West Violett. She attended Fredonia High School and, at the age of 60, received her G.E.D.
On April 3, 1940, she married Calvin Eli Studebaker in Eureka. He died Aug. 7, 2000.
She attended the Catholic church and was employed with Studebaker Refrigeration and cleaned part-time at JC Penneys.
Survivors include four children, Ruth Ann Goodman, Benton, Tom and Jack Studebaker, both of Fredonia, and Kay Thomas, Olathe; a brother, Pat Violett, Olathe; two sisters, Esther Meeks, Apache Junction, Ariz., and Julia “Patsy” Ross, El Dorado; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Violett.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Fredonia City Cemetery under the direction of Timmons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
