Mertha Jean Adamson, 87, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Life Care Center in Andover.
She was born Aug. 12, 1921, in Buffalo to Roy Chester and Ivy Lucile Holt Easley. She graduated from Yates Center High School in 1940.
She held many positions at Boeing Corporation in Wichita and retired in 1979 after 35 years as an inspector.
On July 19, 1964, she married David L. Adamson at the Mt. Olive Christian Church in Wichita. He survives.
She was an active member of the Toronto United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mertha Lemons, Lake Charles, La., and Ivy Clasen, Winfield; three sons, David and Doyce Adamson, both of Wichita, and Dwayne Adamson, Andover; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Louise Bengston, Wekatchee, Wash.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harland Easley.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Toronto United Methodist Church with interment to follow in the Toronto Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home, Yates Center.
The family suggest memorials be made to the Toronto United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
