Forrest Harold Sale, Jr., 64, Kansas City, Kan., formerly of the Wilson and Neosho County area, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008 at his home. He was born June 30, 1944 in Chanute, the son of Forest Harold and Pansy Lewis Sale. He served in the United States Navy 1965-1969. He worked many years as a mechanic for Western Auto and an appliance specialist for Hobart Kitchen Appliances.

On April 1, 1983 in Kansas City, he married Mary Fiscus. She survives, of the home.

Also surviving are a son, Donald Lawhead, Grain Valley, Mo.; two daughters, Becky Stanton, Blue Springs, Mo., Debra Lawhead, Omaha, Neb.; three stepsons, Randy Franklin, Kansas City, Kan., Richard Franklin, Los Angeles, Michael Wichman, Overland Park; a stepdaughter, Mary Beth Borgardt, Beloit, Wis.; three sisters, Anne Hoopes, Wichita, Margaret Sale, Liberal, Ruth Sale, Wichita; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at Timmons Funeral Home Chapel, Fredonia. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery near Roper. Friends may call at the funeral home 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday. Memorials may be made in his name with the Fredonia American Legion and may be sent to the funeral home, P.O. Box 168, Fredonia, KS 66736.
