Urwin H. Neely, 65, Chanute, died Friday, October 31, 2008 at the Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Urwin was born in Chanute on Oct. 11, 1943 the son of Herbert Urwin and Marie Thornton Neely. He grew up and attended schools in Chanute.
He was disabled.
He was united in marriage to Judy Green Jones in 1995. She preceded him in death on Sept. 10, 2001.
Urwin is survived by his mother, Marie E. Bell, Humboldt; and a brother, Don E. Neely, Chanute.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert, and his stepfather, Don Bell.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
Memorials in his name may be made to Castaways Animal Sanctuary and may be left with the funeral home. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
