, 91, Yates Center, died Friday, October 31, 2008, at Coffey County Hospital in Burlington.
He was born Nov. 25, 1916, in Yates Center to Frank and Mary Plouzek Schornick.
He married Wilda Johnson on Sept. 22, 1946, in Yates Center. She survives.
He was a farmer and rancher.
Other survivors include a son, Lynn Schornick, Zion, Ill.; a daughter and son-in-law, Roxanne and Joe Gregg, Yates Center; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kent Schornick; a great-grandson, Paul Alexander Schornick; and a great-granddaughter, Danika Koryn Frederick.
Cremation has taken place. The family plans a private graveside service during the holidays when the family can all be together. Arrangements are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel.
