Billy Dean “Bill” Johnson, Jr., 61, Independence, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 3, 2009 at St. John’s Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the Penwell-Gabel Webb & Rodrick Chapel in Independence with the Rev. Rick Qualls, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Chanute, officiating. Inurnment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Wednesday.
The family has suggested memorial remembrances to the St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla. Remembrances will be received at the funeral home.
