Dale Leroy Collison, 92, Humboldt, died Monday, November 9, 2009, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 4, 1916, in Humboldt to Benjamin Harrison and Hattie Myrtle Ostrander Collison. He graduated from Chanute Junior College.
He married Mary Virginia Dice on June 24, 1939, in Humboldt. She died on March 8, 2008.
He worked as a chemist at the Monarch Cement Plant for 38 years until his retirement.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Humboldt.
Survivors include a son, Dale Leon Collison, Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Kale Herder, Neodesha; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ardeth Willenburg.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Contributions to the United Methodist Church in Humboldt may be left with the funeral home.
